Christmas 2008

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Our Christmas went much smoother this year than in the past. First we went to our church's Christmas Eve service where I spent the whole time in the nursery with Jack (he's not quite ready to sit through a service). Then we went to my Grandma's for some pizza and lots of sweets! Once we got home we set out cookies and milk for Santa before the kids went to bed ( we ended up not telling them about Santa this year, hopefully next year we'll be stronger!) Christmas came early the next morning (6:30am to be exact!) The kids loved all their presents. Among all the gifts the kids had their favorites. Zaine got his own Buzz Lightyear doll & Buzz's enemy Zurg. Dylan got a beautiful new doll with her own crib (which they broke this evening!) And Jackson got his very own vacuum and remote control. After opening gifts here we headed over to my mom's for Christmas morning part 2. Keeping up with tradition Troy cooked everyone omelets then somehow between kids wrestling and running all over we opened presents. Last stop was at the Steiner's (Troy's parents) around 1:00pm. There we opened presents, ate treats & watched a movie. We got back home around 3:30 and we all took a family nap!

So overall we had a great Christmas! I hope you did too!

Christian Personal Trainer for Women!

For those of you who haven't already heard, I have created a website for a Christian Personal Trainer! Her name is Bobbi Chance, and she has traveled all over the world training and mentoring Christian women of all ages.

Bobbi is a certified personal trainer, international speaker for Stonecroft ministries, self published author and co-hosts a radio program called, “Women of the Word” (which can be heard on radio 91.1 Your Home For Life).

Please visit the website I created for her http://www.womenspersonaltrainer.com/ and let me know what you think about it. Also, refer Bobbi to any women you know that are looking to try to lose weight, or get fit.

Thanks,

Melody

Halloween 2008

I hope everyone had a great Halloween!
We took the kids over to our church for Trunk or Treating! We all dressed up as Batman characters. Zaine was Batman, Dylan was BatGirl, Jackson was Robin & I was Catwoman. The kids had a blast seeing everyone dressed up! I'd have to say my favorite costumes (besides my kids of course) would have to be Zoey the LadyBug & Joyce (the pastors wife) as I Love Lucy! Overall it was a great Halloween for us! The kids had a blast & were very well behaved (for a five, three, and one year old!) And they all got to bed at a decent time.

After we put the kids to bed Troy went out to rent some of the old Halloween classic movies, but of course they were all out. So we watched something even better! We watched Abbott & Costello "Meet Frankestein" and Abbott & Costello "Meet the Killer (Boris Karloff)". These are my kind of scary movies!

Squidoo, ooh that's a fun word! Squi-doooo!

For those of you who haven't heard yet, I have created my first few squidoo lenses. Squidoo is a place on the internet where you can create a lens (a blog page) about whatever topic you like, and you can make money doing it!

So I gave it a try & I'm already hooked! So far I have 4 lenses up, here are 3 of them:

Kerri Pomarolli is hillarious! Must see Christian Comedian!

Over the weekend I attended "Women of Hope"a women's conference/benifit for local christian programs in the area geared toward women. My Mom had purchased tickets for myself & some friends and family to attend Friday night. Well anyways we were blessed that evening with testimonies, song (my mom performed) and a christian comedian. To be perfectly honest I am not always optimistic when I hear the words "Christian Comedian" because I have been disappointed in the past. But I can honestly say that I was not disappointed this time! I enjoyed her performance so much that I visited her website when I got home. It's not everyday that you get a chance to hear a christian woman comedian that is actually funny, and believe me she is! So make sure you check her out!

http://www.kerripom.com/ is where you can find her.
Kerri is also on Myspace! visit her at http://www.myspace.com/kerripomarolli

*Kerri Pomarolli is a short, funny, blonde from California. Her resume includes being on multiple t.v. shows including General Hospital, Comedy Central, Jay Leno & more. If you haven't heard of her before, you definetly will in the future!

Jackson's First Birthday!!

Well, we just celebrated Jackson turning ONE this weekend! He's getting so big! For those of you who don't get to see him often, here are a few of his newest tricks!

  • Running not just walking (toddler running)

  • can say Dada, Mama, grass, bye, Hi and tries to say brother (all toddler versions)

  • likes to dance & sing

  • learned how to climb up on the toddler chair & then onto the toddler table

  • loves to give hugs & kisses (open mouth), especially to brother Zaine when he gets home from preschool

  • he's great at peek a boo

  • he loves to look and point at pictures on the wall

and he apparently will be a wrestler like his daddy!

It's amazing how quickly he's growing up!

So anyways his birthday party was a success. I think it would be safe to say that his favorite part of the party was his birthday cake! He shoved an entire piece of cake into his mouth & ate every bite of it! After that we did presents & his big brother & sister helped him unwrap them. Of course I took about a zillion pictures of the event, so make sure to check out my photo gallery to view them!

So, now that his party is over it's onto Zaine's! Life is busy with 3 little ones!

I'm loving Teri Blackstock!!

I'm currently on my second of five books, in Terri Blackstock's Newpointe 911 series. I loved the first book of the series "Private Justice" and I'm almost finished with the second book "Shadow of Doubt". My husband has already finished the 3rd & 4th book of the series and said they are even better than the first two, I can't wait!
